ROTARY CLUB of PORTSMOUTH

Members
The Strategic Planning Committee for the Rotary Club of Portsmouth set as a goal in 2011 that within three years, the Rotary Club of Portsmouth would qualify as a "Triple Crown" club. To become recognized as a Triple Crown club, all active members personally must attain the Triple Crown status.

To be a Triple Crown Foundation member, a Rotarian must accomplish three objectives:
  • Become a Paul Harris Fellow
  • Become a Sustaining Member of the Foundation
  • Become a Benefactor

Our club has a tradition of matching a member's first $500 contribution so that attaining the level of contributing $1000 only costs the member $500. A member of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth can become a Paul Harris Fellow for a contribution of $500. The gift can be made all at once or over a number of months or years. Please see the Foundation chair, the Secretary or the President to discuss your PHF status. Click here for more information about the Paul Harris Fellow recognition.

To become a Sustaining Member of the Rotary International Foundation , you need only contribute $100 per year to the Annual Fund, Polio Plus or any other recognozed RIF project. Of course, you may contribute more. The contribution may be made as a single check or in quarterly or monthly installments. Again, see the Foundation chair, Secretary or President to get on board.

A Benefactor is someone who has pledged to contibute at least $1000 from their estate after death to the Rotary International Foundation Permanent Fund (the "endowment" fund). You may add a codicil to your will or an amendment to your trust or just add a note so your executor will find it at the appropriate time stating your intention to contribute to the Permanent Fund.
A really easy way to become a Benefactor is to complete the on-line form that can be found by clicking here.

Becoming a "Triple Crown" member of the Rotary International Foundation not only brings you and the club recognition, it actually helps millions of people all over the globe.
